Nathan is on the train escaping from his everyday life. But of course that can not go easy either. He has to get off the train and on a bus but gets on the wrong bus and is nowhere near where he wanted to be. Going for a walk he finds himself at the ocean watching a storm, and then oops in the ocean, now underwater when he feels arms around him pulling him out. Who is his savior???Beck is reliving saving Nat and he can not get the look of his eyes out of his mind. Yes there was also his face, skin, and lips but the eyes are the most amazing color to Beck. He is an artist and loves to paint and sculpt clay. He is making his way in the art world but that is ok. He recently lost his father who was larger than life and seemed to be the glue that held not only his family but the town together. He ran a restaurant with his wife and after he passed they let someone else takeover the restaurant. However, that did not go so well.Nat walks into the restaurant as Beck's mom is learning she has been taken advantage of. The once thriving restaurant now serves frozen fish instead of the fresh seafood it was known for. The number of employees went from 20 to 6 and since he had fired the chefs and warmed up the food himself since he took off they are now in need of a chef. Nat volunteers since this had been his dream job instead of the banking job his elite family wanted him to have.Once Beck walks in to see what has happened he is stunned to see the man he saved from the ocean being his mother's head chef. It won’t be the last.I thoroughly enjoyed this first book in the Belong to Me series. Beck and Nat are well developed and given backstories sufficient to show where they have been and how it affected them without taking up too much page time. I enjoyed watching them move into a strong and passionate union. There isn’t insta-love, but the pull towards each other is immediate and compelling.Their road to a HEA is a little bumpy and littered with bouts of insecurity, but these guys together are beautiful, sexy, and loving.The well-placed humor kept this from being a heavy read. It gives it a little irreverence, and I like that.The other characters are well placed and support the storyline. There are several that I want to see get their very own HEAI am curious about other works by this author under another pen name, so I will need to go e-book shopping soon.I look forward to the next book in this series.
